Where Robotics Meets the World's Favourite Game

Description:
Robo Soccer is an electrifying event where participants build and program robots to play soccer. Teams compete to score goals and defend their side, highlighting their creativity, strategy, and technical skills in a fast-paced robotic showdown.

Prizes:

1st – 15,000
2nd– 8,000
Registration Fees: Rs.500

Criteria:

  • For each goal scored by a team, 4 points will be awarded.

  • If the bot damages the arena, the ball or the opponent bot (major damage), 2 points will be deducted.

  • Two points will be deducted for the bot, which is responsible for hitting the ball out of the arena.

  • A warning will be given for not following the rules after which 2 points will be deducted for every warning.

  • Maximum goals/points wins.

  • In case of tie, 2 minutes will be given for additional play.

  • In case of re-tie, the game will go for sudden death (First goal wins).

Rules and Regulations:

  • Robots must be wireless and remotely controlled; shape may be circular or rectangular.

  • Each robot must fit within a 30 cm x 30 cm base and 40 cm height at all times.

  • Maximum weight: 7 kg (including battery); 5% tolerance allowed.

  • The robot’s top must follow the required pattern size and surface rules.

  • Dribbling devices that apply spin to keep the ball in contact are allowed under set conditions.

  • Each team must have 1 to 3 robots for the entire tournament; no robot substitutions within or across teams.

  • Batteries must be sealed types (gel cell, lithium, NiCad, or dry cell).

  • Maximum voltage allowed: 24V DC per robot.

  • Each robot must have a unique top marker (1, 2, or 3); unmarked robots cannot play.

  • Robots must not emit infrared light; IR sensors may be used only if they don’t affect others.

  • No IR-reflective materials allowed externally.

  • Robots must not cause magnetic interference. If interference is claimed, the team must provide evidence, and the referee must confirm it.
