Students can perform in these Categories:

• Solo
• Duet
• Group (maximum 10)

General Rules

There will be 2 rounds:
1) School wise screening round
2) Final Competition

• The participants will manage the costumes, props, etc on their own.
• The participants will have to abide by the rules of the events failing which the participants/ team can be disqualified by the management

1. Rules for Western Dance Category

• The performances must be of any non-traditional non-Indian kind and should be in pure form. Any of the approved forms like Salsa, Ballet, Hip-hop, Tap dancing, Jazz, etc can be used.
• The maximum duration of performance can be 5 minutes. The maximum time for setting the stage can be 5 minutes.
• Judgment will be based on the Steps, Rhythm, Formation, Expression, Costumes, Make-up, Sets on Overall Effect, and Utilization of various Props.

2. Rules for Fusion Dance

• The performances can be amalgamation of any western or classical dances and Bollywood themed dance.
• The maximum duration of performance can be 5 minutes. The maximum time for setting the stage can be 5 minutes.
• Judgment will be based on the Steps, Rhythm, Formation, Expression, Costumes, Make-up, Sets on Overall Effect, and Utilization of various Props.

3. Rules for Classical/ Folk Dances

• The maximum duration of performance can be 5 minutes.
• The maximum time for setting the stage can be 10 minutes.
• The performances should be in the pure form of any approved dance forms such as Kathak,
  Kathakali, Bharat Natyam, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, Mohinittam, Odissi, Garba etc.
• Judgment will be based on the Steps, Rhythm, Formation, Expression, Costumes, Make-up, Sets on Overall Effect, and Utilization of various Props.
