CORPORATE SIMULATION CHALLENGE

Objective of the event
The Corporate Simulation Challenge is to provide experiential learning that bridges theory and practice, enabling participants to experience realistic business (Corporate) scenarios.
This will help enhance strategic decision-making, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and business acumen by immersing participants in dynamic and collaborative situations where they can practice, negotiate, and understand each other’s (Management and employees) Perspectives.

Prizes:

1st – 10,000
2nd– 4,000
Registration Fees: Rs.300

Description of the Event:

  • It will have 2 rounds
  • The team that scores the highest in both the round will be declared as winners

Round 1: The Corporate Curtain

90 minutes (Maximum 15 minutes per team)

  • The participant team have to select a theme for enacting a 15 minute skit depicting the everyday work challenges they would encounter at the future workplaces
  • The Major themes for skit includes Change Management dynamics, HR policies, New employee orientation, Faulty Appraisals systems, Work-life balance conflicts, Psychological Contract, Employee welfare/wellbeing, Unproductive Office meetings, Workplace Politics, Ego clashes, Interpersonal Conflicts, Nepotism and Favouritism
  • The skit can be humorous or satirical, but it should depict the themes dramatically, aligning the Management concepts
  • The evaluation parameters will include, the skit choreography, acting skills of all the members and conceptual clarity by the members

Round 2: The Corporate Bargaining:

(60 Minutes – Maximum 10 Minutes per team: 7 minutes for proposing changes and 3 minutes for the Negotiation round)

  • In this Round, any two members of the participating teams have to present the proposed revamp strategies plan to the Jury member
  • The proposed strategies to be presented to the Jury Members should be based on the topic taken for Skit in Round 1.
  • Eg: If the Skit topic chosen is Work-life Balance – Revamp strategies for the same should be presented in Round 2
  • All the teams will be given 7 minutes to present their PPT
  • After the Presentation, there will be a negotiation round for 5 minutes between the Jury members and the presenters.
  • The presenters have to convince with proper data and their persuading skills convincing the jury members why the proposed changes are essential to be adopted.
  • The evaluation will be done on the basis of their concept clarity, Negotiation skills with the Jury members

Rule book:

  • Team participation maximum 6 participants in a team
  • The participant team should give a name to their Skit
  • The participant teams need to prepare a skit from the major themes. The Skit script and choreography, along with props, Background music (If any), need to be managed by the students. (Basic infrastructure, Chair, table and projector will be provided)
  • The Skit should not include any foul Language.
