SHORT FILM MAKING COMPETITION

“Think big, Shoot Short”

EVENT DESCRIPTION:


To create a platform for young Story-tellers to highlight the vital yet often overlooked contributions of housekeeping staff in maintaining homes and businesses, fostering awareness and appreciation for their work.

Prizes:

1st – 7,000
2nd– 5,000
Registration Fees: Rs.200

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

 

  • Open to amateur, including students and emerging Filmmakers.
  • He/ she should be a part of the storyline and must be involved in the short film.
  • BTS should be submitted to authenticate the work.
  • Participants can work individually or in teams.
  • Duration: 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Any genre (drama, documentary, animation, etc.)
  • Entries must include a brief synopsis (200 words) and a director’s statement (100 words) explaining the film’s perspective on the theme.
  • Upload lms to YouTube (set to unlisted) and share the link.
  • upload to Google Drive or another le-sharing service, ensuring access permissions allow for viewing.
  • No restrictions on language, but English subtitles are required for non-English submissions
  • Films must be original works created specically for this competition.
  • Participants are supposed to submit their short lms before 15th Feb 2025, at itmbusohssilluminati@gmail.com.

THEME SELCTION: 

 

  • “Ineffective and often invisible, the labour of housekeeping staff forms the backbone of our daily lives. This short lm competition aims to bring their stories to light, celebrating their skills, resilience, and the essential role they play in our communities.”
  • Apart from the above, if participants want to choose any other interesting theme, they can.

  • Plot, pacing, structure and characters
