Introduction:

Cryptors is a technical event designed to test participants’ logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities through a series of cryptic challenges. Participants are required to crack codes, decipher clues, and solve puzzles within a limited time frame by applying technical knowledge and reasoning skills. The event focuses on engaging participants in solving multiple levels of encrypted problems and logical puzzles. Each round is designed to challenge participants’ ability to think critically, analyze patterns, and decode information efficiently. The event encourages teamwork, speed, and accuracy while maintaining a competitive and exciting environment.

Rules & REgulation

  • Each team must consist of two participants; solo entry is not allowed.
  • Time is the most important factor in every round. Selection follows a first-come, first-served approach, where the time of your first successful submission plays a key role. The total time taken for all rounds will be used to determine the winner.
  • Participants will have a specified time limit to complete each challenge in the round.
  • In round-2 only, teams can use their mobile phones.
  • Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or unauthorized collaboration between teams will result in immediate disqualification.
  • The decision of the organizers is final. In case of disputes or uncertainties regarding the rules, the organizers have the authority to make the final call.
  • Participants are expected to maintain respectful and sportsmanlike conduct throughout the round. Any form of disruptive behaviour may lead to disqualification.
  • The scoring for each challenge will be clearly communicated to participants before the round begins.

Round 1 (Codebreaker Challenge):

Teams are given an encoded message along with a hint.Decoding the message correctly reveals one location out of 17 possible locations on a printed map.

Round 2 (Digital Scavenger Hunt):

After reaching the location, teams receive five new locations. They must visit them, click photos of the specified entity, and submit the images at the designated point.

Round 3 (Puzzle Solving):

Teams solve a series of logic-based and programming puzzles involving algorithms or patterns. Correct solutions reveal the newlocation.

Round 4 (Debugging Challenge):

Teams are provided with buggy code or faulty circuits to fix within a time limit.
