“One Day Workshop on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and 3-D Printing”

Day 1:

Session 1:

 

  • Introduction and basic to NC & CNC and its type.
  • Basics of the CNC Lathe.
  • Know your Machine (VPL –CNC-20): Function and control.
  • Standard operating procedure (SOP).

– Time : 10:30 am – 12:00 noon

 

Session 2 :

 

  • Introduction to Part programming (G & M Coding).
  • Machining Simulation.
  • Demonstration on CNC machine.
  • Will provide problem/s to participants for part programming (coding).

– Time : 12:00 noon – 01:00 pm

 

Session 3 :

 

  • Introduction to 3 D printing. The importance of 3D Printer in the industry.
  • Scanning with technical details to all stages.
  • Modeling of basic geometry – Cube, Cuboids, Sphere, Cone, Torus etc.
  • Slicing: Various Print Parameters – Resolution, Density, Speed, Strength, Supports etc.

– Time : 01:30 pm – 03:00 pm

 

Session 4 :

 

  • Demonstration on machine.
  • A mini project- Will provide problem/s to participants for hands on experience

– Time : 03:00 pm – 04:00 pm
